Our Beginnings

“When Br. Gerard Francis offered me a tour of the church I was not prepared for the emotions that would invade me. Entering the church brought me back to my last days in Cuba when the Revolution destroyed the church where we used to go as a child, dumping the statues into a truck.
Who would have thought that the Archdiocese would destroy one of its own churches?”
– DALIA DÍAZ, Rumbo News (May 15, 2007)

“A pillar of the community in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Sacred Heart Church offers a traditional Latin Mass and local support to its parishioners. Maintaining its impressive 26,000-square-foot building is a central part of Sacred Heart’s ability to uphold its mission, which includes providing religious education. As this maintenance is no easy feat, the Dominican Brothers at Sacred Heart sought new ways of decreasing energy costs and improving the environmental impact of their structure.” – EVERSOURCE (November 2022)

Latin Mass Unchanged

“‘We promote separation from the World, simply because if we live by the World we will lose our souls to the World.’ I was struck by this statement. There was no guile in it, no equivocation— It was another way of saying, ‘For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the
loss of his soul?'”
