Dress Code
Why do we have a dress code for Mass?
As we would dress appropriately for a wedding or funeral, even more so we should be dressed appropriately for the most important event on earth, and that is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The Mass is infinitely more important than meeting an earthly king or queen or going to an important formal event. By dressing up for Mass we are showing respect for Jesus Christ, present in the Holy Eucharist, and treating our bodies as temples of the Holy Ghost.
